Roger Williams was born and raised in southern Colorado at the base of the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountains. Always drawn to the humanities, Roger eventually completed a master of arts degree after attending the University of Denver and Adams State college. After a short stint of teaching, Williams relocated to Santa Fe New Mixico to persue a professional carreer in fine art painting and has not looked back since.

The substance of Roger Williams' paintings comes from life experience and his extensive travel. Having painted in over 30 foreign countries, Roger continues to find inspiration abroad but at the same time has not lost his animation to express his love for the land and sky in which he was brought up, the great southwest. Today, Williams often can be found in his studio in Santa Fe doing what he loves most.

Book

The newly published book by Roger Williams, Light, Beauty, and Form, is a brief biography about the artist. It includes over 90 full color plates of the artists work displaying paintings in the media of oil, pastel and watercolor painted over the last 20 years. The book is a signed, limited edition of 500 copies.
