Roger lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico in his house/studio facing the beautiful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. When not painting in the field, Williams can often be found glued to his easel painting larger pieces often from his field sketches and other materials and means.

Although, Roger does not like labels, many people have referred to his painting as modern traditionalism. His subject matter for his work come from his many travels domestic and abroad. Although he considers himself primarily a landscape painter, many of his works are figurative and architectural.
